COUNTDOWN FRASER COVE, TAURANGA

Fraser Cove Shopping Centre (the Centre) was completed in 2002 by one of New Zealand’s most prolific private shopping centre owners, New Zealand Retail Property Group. Its anchor tenant was originally The Warehouse, which was supported by predominantly large-format retailers. The Centre’s high profile tenants now include supermarket giant Countdown, Repco, North Beach, Kathmandu, Postie Plus, Paper Plus and Big Save.

The total area on opening date was approximately 19,000 square metres. Mirroring the prosperity being enjoyed by Tauranga as a city, the Centre was extended by an additional 2,200 square metres in 2004, when a two level building was added. The success of Fraser Cove as a retail destination encouraged further significant extension of the Centre.

The Countdown supermarket and the adjoining liquor store at Fraser Cove Shopping Centre, 229-247 Fraser Street, Tauranga is leased to General Distributors Limited.
