Established in November 2010 to acquire the land and buildings comprising the Countdown supermarket at Westgate Shopping Centre, 14 – 20 Fernhill Drive, Westgate, Auckland, a commercial property leased to General Distributors Limited.
Westgate Shopping Centre is one of Auckland’s largest outdoor shopping centres, located on a visually commanding, high profile corner site at the junction of two major West Auckland arterials, the North Western Motorway and State Highway 16.
The Centre has a number of high profile anchor tenants as well as national and international brands including The Warehouse, Noel Leeming, Farmers, Event Cinemas, JB Hi Fi, Starbucks, Burger King and of course the newly re-furbished Countdown Supermarket.
The shopping centre covers an area of over 11 hectares with over 44,000m² of net floor area. The site itself is extremely high profile, occupying an elevated position, visible to users of the North Western Motorway.
Investors acquired 192 individual interests in the scheme at $50,000 each.
